There are many of us that go to the gym everyday and waste a lot of time with a foam roller vs stretching exercise mat. It’s only when you stop yourself and realise that it is actually a waste of time that you realize the purpose of these mats and their use. By doing these simple exercises, you will actually be able to do more work out at the gym.

First of all, you must be aware that most of the exercises that you can do at the gym are actually the same exercises that you can do at home with your body weight. You don’t have to use weights. You should also know that the foam roller is great for increasing the blood flow to the muscles because it is slippery. This means that it is very easy to use it, and there’s little impact to the body so you’ll be able to work out for longer periods of time.

Once you do this, you’ll notice that your arms, shoulders and legs are not as sore and even if you haven’t worked out recently, your muscles will still feel tired. Therefore, your muscles will have the strength to do more repetitions which leads to a better looking body.

Secondly, you must have a great diet to do these exercises and get the results that you want. Dieting is key and your body is what you eat.

Of course, diet is important but it doesn’t just stop there. You also need to be aware of what activities you are doing to prepare your body to perform during your workouts.

If you are a homebody, you could ask your fitness trainer to recommend exercises for you. You should listen to your body because it is the voice of your body and will tell you when it’s ready to gain weight, when it needs to lose weight or when it is ready to build muscle.

If you are a couch potato, you won’t have any great muscles either. It all depends on what you do and how much you do it.

Always remember that working out in the gym is very important but you also need to remember that when you do it, it has to match your body type and needs. If you do not diet correctly, you won’t be able to get the results that you want and most likely the results will only be temporary and you’ll just end up starving yourself.
